TOPIC: Abbreviations/Definitions
• Age Range – This is the estimated age range of a specific household member.
Current ranges are:
19-24
25-34
35-44
45-54
55-64
65 and over
• Any Additional Household Member – Includes up to 2 additional household members over 18 years of age that are also listed at the address.
• Apt Number – Gives the actual number of the Apartment or Post Office Box.
• Apt / PO Box – Represents the actual type of address such as apartment, building suite number, lot number, post office box number, etc. The following list represents some of the various types of addresses and how they are displayed.

• Area Code – 3-digit Area Code
• Business Name – This field is 30 characters in length. The business name shows the first 30 characters of the name any additional characters will be dropped.
• Census Tract – Represents tracts as outlined by US Government Census Bureau.
• City Name – This is the primary city name listed by the United States Post Office. Prestigious city names are not picked up.
• County – shows county name
• DIR – United States Postal Service Pre Directional field containing 2 characters.
N = North
S = South
W = West
E = East
NE = North East
NW = North West
SE = South East
SW = South West
• Dwelling Unit Designator – Represents the number of units in the customer’s home or dwelling (i.e., single-family dwelling unit or a multi-family dwelling unit. Current codes are:
1 = One unit or Single Family Dwelling Unit (SFDU)
2 = Two units / Multi-Family Dwelling Unit / Duplex
3 = Three units
4 = Four units
5-9 = Five to Nine Units
10 – 19 = Ten to Nineteen Units
20 – 49 = Twenty to Forty-nine Units
50 – 100 = Fifty to One hundred Units
100 + = One hundred and one units or more
• Employee Size – represents a range for number of employees in a business.

• Executive First Name – First name of the main executive associated with a business.
• Executive Last Name – Last name of the main executive associated with a business.
• Executive Title – shows the first 10 characters of the executive’s title.
• First Name – this can be an initial or full first name.
• Gender – Current values are:

Unknown (or not available)
• Homeowner Indicator – Indicates if the person living at this address owns the residence. This indicator is not available in all areas.
Confirmed – This individual does own the home he or she is residing at.
Not Confirmed – It is not known if the individual owns the home they are residing at. This does not mean that they do not own the home, only that it is not known whether or not they own this home.
• House Number / Address Number – Residential house numbers and Business address numbers have the last 2 positions x’d out. To view the complete number you must export the records.
• Last Name – last name or surname of the Head of Household.
• Length of Residence – Indicates the number of years that the individual has been listed at this address according to our information.
- New listings can be selected by putting a ‘0’ in the from box and a ‘1’ in the to box of the Length of Residence selection option in the ‘Property Criteria’ section.
- Business records do not pick up the length of residence field.
Note: When the Mailing List option is selected the user will receive all records that have a valid mailing address. The phone number will be will be shown on any records that also have a valid phone number.
• Middle Initial – This field may be blank.
• Sales Volume – Represents a range of sales volume in Thousands, (if shown in full this means that range $1-$499 is actually $1,000 - $499,000; $1,000 - $4,999 would be a million to 1.5 million in sales and $1,000,000 + is 1 billion or over in sales)

• SIC – Standard Industry Code for identifying type of business are based on the yellow page headings in the phone directory.
• State – shows the United States Post Service 2-digit state abbreviation.
• Street Name– United States Postal Service Street Name. This field includes the USPS Street Name, USPS Street Suffix , and the USPS Post Directional.
• Zip Code – 5-digit number assigned by the United States Post Office necessary for mail delivery.
• Zip+4 – Additional numbers assigned to zip codes by the Post Office to speed up delivery.
