A lead list may generate interest, but content marketing keeps it

Small businesses generate more revenue by marketing services to consumers who are found on a lead list. However, once a company has grabbed the attention of a target audience, it is important to effectively communicate with them. A great way to appeal to a wider demographic time and time again is by using content marketing. A business can improve its rankings on search engines by incorporating a few keywords into unique content published on its website.

In a recent B2B Marketing Trend Survey conducted by HiveFive Inc., 82 percent of B2B marketers are using content marketing to establish their brands in the consumer market. In 2012, more businesses than ever will use content marketing to remain relevant on search engines such as Google and Bing.

Business owners can generate leads by using consumer mailing lists, but in order to keep them coming back to the website, a steady flow of information must be present. After all, if there is nothing new to offer a consumer, than what would be the point of returning to a website each day?
